The FoH ELOTER@

You are the frontline person- greeting customers, taking orders and handling order pickup. You explain menu items, communicate with the team on orders and spread the elote love. 

Work Schedule: every Sunday, from 9:45am to 2:15pm
Start date: asap, mid March/ early April
Pay: $15/hr + tip share

Responsibilities: 

• Greet customers and folkx walking by- introduce them to Elotes la Tejanita if they have not visited us before
• Take orders- record them on mobile POS system, handle cash and credit card payments
• Go over menu items with customers 
• Write and keep track of order tickets for cooks
• Estimate wait time for order based on existing tickets
• Call out order name once it is ready

Requirements:

• Must bring a positive attitude and enjoy interacting with customers
• Learn our menu by heart
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and must be able to manage stressful situations with ease and positivity
• Comfortable wearing mouth and nose covering mask throughout entire shift (masks are required)
• Comfortable working outdoors (we work hot, cold or rainy- under a tent)
• Experience working FOH and with POS system preferred, but not required
• Elotes lover preferred, but not required
• Spanish speaker preferred, but not required
